Taste of Home
So the International Rice Festival is this weekend. So today my friend Brad is coming to stay with me for the weekend. I can’t tell you how excited I am. The Rice Festival is and it is big deal around here. I am so glad I get to share the experience with a great friend of mine. I miss Dallas and this will be a little taste of home.
I thought Dallas was my home but now I feel different. It was my home. Life takes it’s own course and things go ways that you don’t think they should. You aren’t sure what is going on in those moments or why things aren’t going your way. You can’t dwell on those times. Life takes up new meanings in those moments and it is important that you find the meaning during those times.
Things never go the way I think they should at the time. Every time they don’t, I feel blessed they didn’t. If they did, you wouldn’t find other opportunities. You have to do the things you talked about but haven’t done. Know when to let go and hold on. Spend time with friends that mean the most. Don’t give your power away. What I have realized recently is to be old enough to know better but young enough to enjoy it. Lastly, Learn who you are.
Be ready for some photos and fun from the Rice Festival. Festivities starting now…
