We got up early and made our way towards the active volcano. I got to see livestock for the first time in Japan, hence the horse and cow photos. It felt like I was finally in the country!
They weren’t letting people hike when we got there so we had to wait about 30 mins. We were the first ones to hike up it but you can also drive so by the time we got to the top, there were plenty of other people and when we left there was even more. It was awesome to be at the top of an active volcano. It was very beautiful as well.
We had a long drive ahead because we decided we wanted to go to Tottori to see sand dunes. So we didn’t spend much time in Kyushu before we headed back to the main island. We knew we had a long day of driving ahead….
