As I said earlier, I LOVE the German Christmas Markets so you would be seeing more. So here is more with a bit of details about the markets we visited in 3 countries. I definitely think Germany takes the cake for knowing how to do the markets right. If you ever get the chance, going to Germany for the Christmas markets is a MUST DO for anyone that likes to travel and experience new things. A Christmas market can get anyone in the spirit of the holiday.
Cologne, Germany- This was our first stop and we couldn’t have asked for better markets. We went to 6 different markets in the city. SIX. It was really amazing and fun to go around the city checking out the different markets. All very different.
Dusseldorf, Germany- The market was nice. A bit crowded for us. We ended up hitting up Japanese Ramen to eat at the end of the night to warm us. It was nice to get a little taste of Japan again.
Gent, Belgium- We had a friend we met in Taipei living in Gent so we decided to hit up the city. So glad we did. It was a BEAUTIFUL city and a surprise. The Christmas market is nothing like Germany markets but the city makes up for it.
Amsterdam, Netherlands- This wasn’t much of a Christmas market but the light displays were fun to walk around and see. I love this city from when I visited it 5 years ago so it was fun to go back and see again.
