The weather was rainy and cold so I decided to make a fall menu for dinner. I was living in Dallas and we didn’t have fall colors and it never really felt like the fall season to me. So being as how I am spending some time in Tennessee, I decided to make the most of it and try some new recipes.
Squash and Wild-Rice Soup
Pumpkin Cheesecake Recipe
So, the soup was sweet which I expected, just not that sweet. So we found that adding salt and sour cream made it much better.
I am not a fan of pumpkin, so you may wonder why pumpkin cheesecake? Well, I am trying to step out of my comfort zone. Isn’t that the point of life? So, I love cheesecake and this was the first one I ever made but you can bet I will be making more. Thumbs up for the cheesecake. We added whipped cream, pecans, and caramel to garnish it. Fall weather is here and these fall recipes make it warm and cozy.
My next menu at some point will be: Chicken Pot Pie, Apple Orchard Punch, and a cake.
As much as I love food, I am thinking about trying vegetarianism from Nov 1st till Thanksgiving just for fun. Thoughts?
Eat up and Enjoy!
