I drove from Tennessee to Virginia yesterday. I took a bit longer route through West Virginia to see snow. I saw plenty of it but because of the weather, it didn’t take good pictures because there was limited visibility.
On my way I stopped at a distillery called Smooth Ambler. It was a small distillery so I got a one on one tour and got to learn a lot about the process.
As a kid, one of the things I remember my mom talking about was the Civil War. Why? I don’t know just something that brings back childhood memories. so when I was going through Lexington VA, I stopped and saw Stonewall Jackson Memorial. Jackson was a general of the Confederate along with Robert Lee. What I learned is that he got his arm amputated and died of pneumonia days later.
