Not only was yesterday a special day for me, it was a special day for the world. A baby was born 28 years ago and now I am shakin’ things up and taking on the world the best I can. So it isn’t about just me on my birthday, it was a gift to my family and to the world. How lucky all of you are 😉 I am happy to be alive and I have a blessed life with caring friends and a loving family. I am one lucky girl.
For my day I went to the dog shelter to help Donna take photos of the dogs. Kyle came with us too. I couldn’t think of a more perfect way to spend my day. We got to walk the dogs and love on them. Pets are so sweet and definitely make this world a better place. I love to help out and I love animals, so I can’t think of a better way to spend my birthday.
This sign was hanging in the shelter. I like simple. I think we all could “Adopt Love” Love is about finding joy in life experiences and embracing our journey through the struggles and finding love.
Be who you are.
Live your dreams.
Embrace your journey.
After the dog shelter we had some time to kill before we went to dinner with Bill’s parents. So we went to a park and walked around for an hour. The fall colors in Tennessee are amazing.
Yesterday was my ‘special day’ and what I have realized is that I don’t want to fit in. I used to but I always knew I was different. I felt like I was letting others down. I realize that like is much better standing apart and embracing the difference. I have a feeling that life is only going to get better and I am here to enjoy the ride.
