Bacon Maple Donut

So yesterday I was taking Matt around Manhattan Kansas (the Little Apple). I took a few pictures of our day. The best find for me was the bacon maple donut. YUM Of course I am eating healthy so I only had 2 bites but it was SO GOOD. Last night I got to see my lil sister Kim and we went for dinner and a few drinks.

So I haven’t been the best at posting inspiration. I saw this quote and I wanted to talk about it and share:

You’ve got to dance like there’s nobody watching,
Love like you’ll never be hurt,
Sing like there’s nobody listening,
And live like it’s heaven on earth.
―William W. Purkey

I feel like I am at a point that I am finding out what moves me and what makes me who I am. What I have learned is that it isn’t about what others think I should be, it is about who I am. By actually being true to who I am, I have lost friends and people that I thought cared about me but I have found that I don’t miss those people. I don’t miss them because it opens up room in my life for people that care enough to be in my life.

Life has so many questions but it takes courage to ask yourself the right ones that help you understand who you are and where you are going. When I am thinking about who I am some of what I ask myself is:

  • Not thinking about anybody else, what makes me proud of who I am?
  • What issues do I need to resolve from within and what is being a burden to moving forward?
  • What things are there to be thankful for and how can I celebrate those things so that I remember all the positive in life?
  • Am I being the best friend possible to those that matter most and am I surrounding myself with people that bring out the best in me?
  • Where should I go next?

I truly think that the unconscious mind is the greatest source genius. I almost always go with my intuition about a situation. When I do, I don’t blame anyone but myself when it doesn’t turn out the way I wanted it to. If something isn’t right, I change it. If I make a mistake, I try to take responsibility for my role in where it went wrong.

Those things are about experience and experience is what you get when you learn new things. Often this comes when things don’t go as you plan. I have learned that I have to accept those experiences and use them to move forward. Everything I have experienced gives me knowledge to deal with the things that are ahead.

Experience tells me that there will be more bacon maple donuts in my future… Just sayin’
